A Vietnamese tech site with a growing reputation for catching Apple with its pants down has published snaps of what it says is the next iPhone.
the blurrycam snaps appear to show a handset with the same basic form as the current iPhone 4 but with plastic case components, including the front and back panels, rather than the current Gorilla Glass used by the Cupertino company.
The article's author suggest that, rather than the iPhone 5, this could be the fabled iPhone 4S, a cut-price model aimed at emerging markets and those with shallower pockets than your average Apple fan.
He also insists that the information and snaps have come from a 'very reliable source', which has pulled a number of Apple scoops in the past.
TinhTe's snaps look pretty genuine to us but, judging by the white livery, we suspect they could be of a pre-production prototype created whilst Apple was struggling to get the paint on the current white iPhone 4 to work.
The report also suggests that the handset shown appears to have a faster processor than the current iteration which certainly wouldn't sit well with a budget reworking.
As we've said before, Apple simply doesn't do cheap so we're taking this one with a big glug of salty fish sauce.
