Google Simplifies Hotel Search through Hotel Finder

Search engine giant Google has launched a new experimental feature called Hotel Finder, which allows travellers to find a hotel fitting their needs.

The service, which is only available in the United States as of now, lets people search for hotels based on their location and other specifications like price. It allows people to compare hotels in the same tab.

The most interesting feature in the service is that it lets users mark out the area in which they want to find a hotel using shapes. Google has designed the service to highlight the areas in a city which are most popular among visitors.

Users will also be able to add hotels to a short list, for reviewing them at a later time. It also presents users with ratings and reviews for a particular hotel. Information about the hotel appears on the same page, saving the users the trouble of opening multiple tabs at a time.

The company explained on the Hotel Finder page that users will be able to find the best deal offered by a hotel by comparing its current room price with a typical one.

It remains to be seen when the company launches the service globally. It would be a great help for tourists visiting London for the Olympics next year.
