UK mobile phone operator Vodafone has struck a partnership with notable British fashion designer Richard Nicoll to give its customers exclusive access to fashion industry.
The two season partnership will involve the designer’s spring/summer 2012 and autumn/winter 2012 shows for the London Fashion Week.
The announcement was made during a breakfast hosted by the BFC in Soho. Vodafone remained secretive about the project it was working on with the designer, but said that it ‘fuses technology and cutting edge design’ and will be showcased during the designer’s autumn/winter 2012 runway show.
“Richard Nicoll is one of the hottest designers operating at the forefront of British fashion today. His sharp tailoring, grown-up minimalism and fresh designs have attracted a cult following both inside and outside the fashion world and we are thrilled to be working with him,” said Vodafone's UK Director of Brand Marketing, Danielle Crook.
In September, the designer will be showcasing his collection at a new venue during the London Fashion Week. Select Vodafone customers will be able to meet with Nicoll backstage. Other events are also planned for the benefit of Vodafone customers including one at the Fashion’s Night Out on September 8th. [Image courtesy: myfashionlife.com]
