Popular high-street mobile phone retailer Phones 4u has made public it will be stocking the BlackBerry Bold 9900 at the end of next week, free on deals as low as £31 a month.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 was unveiled last week; along with the slider Torch 9860 and the all-touch screen Torch 9810, with two other versions for the USA and in the largest ever global launch in Research In Motion’s history.
The Bold 9900 has a similar look and shape to the first Bold 9000 handset of 2008, where later handsets in the same series have had much smaller form factor that are closer to BlackBerry Curve mobile phones than the original.
RIM’s latest Bold arrives with the thinnest chassis seen in a BlackBerry device at 10.5mm, with a 2.8-inch touch screen, a fast 1.2GHz processor and 8GB of internal storage, NFC features and a 5 megapixel camera that can capture HD video at 720p – in addition to the latest BlackBerry 7 OS, with a new liquid graphics engine, browser and support for augmented reality.
Phones 4u will have the BlackBerry Bold 9900 in stores on Thursday 18th August, on a variety of mobile phone networks that start with Vodafone, with 300 minutes, a 3,000 text message bundle and a 500MB data allowance that includes BB email for £31 a month.
