Markus “Notch” Persson, the founder of Moajang AB and the creator of Minecraft has revealed that the coming autumn will witness the availability of the Minecraft Pocket Edition for the Xperia Play platform.
Persson made this revelation in his exclusive interview with the technology site IGN, and if we are to believe his words, Xperia Play users can take advantage of the offering just for $6.99.
“Minecraft - Pocket Edition for Xperia Play will be released this autumn, and will cost 6.99 USD,” Perrson aka “Notch” claimed.
Minecraft Pocket Edition is built on the massively popular PC version itself, however, because it will be pushed to a smaller screen, some functionalities will definitely be lost. But, according to the company, the overall feel of the game will still remain quite similar to that of the original Minecraft.
Notch also said that the company intends to deliver more mobile versions of the game, and also that they are all set to try out integrating certain social aspects - below and above the original version of the game.
Meanwhile, in related news, Minecraft had already sold over 3 million copies, which is not doubt, one monster of an achievement for a game that has not been officially out yet.
