Nokia Not to Launch MeeGo Based N9 In The US

Finnish mobile manufacturer Nokia Corporation will not release its highly anticipated Smartphone, the N9 in the United States, latest reports have suggested.

According to tech website Engadget, market experts and enthusiasts who tried to know more about the shipping date of N9, the Smartphone which was said to be released on 23 September, were left disappointed as the company informed about its decision to not to release the phone in the US.

"After the very positive reception to the launch of the Nokia N9, the product is now being rolled out in countries around the world. At this time we will not be making it available in the US.” the company said in a reply.

Nokia’s N9, the Smartphone which was announced by the company in the month of June has not been featured on any of the websites of network operators and retailers. The phone managed to strike a chord with tech lovers at the time of announcement thanks to its gorgeous outlook and user interface.

N9 boasts of a 3.9-inch display screen and is expected to be launched in colours including black, cyan, and magenta, has eight mega pixel camera and HD ready video capture quality. The phone is the first model to be powered by Nokia’s latest OS, Meego instead of Symbian.
