A new survey has revealed that more than half of adults in the Europe are hooked to playing video games on their consoles.
According to PR News Wire, leading casual games developer firm, PopCap, conducted National Gamers Surveys which has revealed that more than half of all adults in countries including United Kingdom, France and Germany play games on their personal consoles, social networking websites, websites dedicated to casual games, along with games on their mobile phones and tablet computers.
The results inform that in the UK, nearly 68 percent of men and 59 percent of women are dedicated gamers which make them the country with highest ratio of gamer population. Nearly, 63% of men and 54% of women play games in Germany while 61% of men and 52% of women play games in France.
"What these results tell us is that a one size fits all strategy for Europe doesn't work as there are quite different platform gaming habits, needs and expectations between France, Germany and the UK.” General Manager of PopCap for Europe, Paul Breslin said in the press release.
French people spend most on their gaming indulgences, which comes to an average of £22.3 per month whereas Britons spend £18.6 per player and Germans shell out £13.9 per player every month.
