Tech giant Apple Inc. is going to unveil the sixth beta version of its forthcoming iOS 5 on Wednesday, August 17, a new report claims.
According to this report by the technology site 9to5 Mac, the OTA update code cracked by their technical team is hinting very much towards the new beta version of the iOS 5 being available from August 17 onwards.
However, the report by the site also warned that the release could be delayed as well in case bugs are detected in the code.
“We’re think we’ve cracked the OTA update date code. Apple plans to release their next developer seed of iOS 5, Beta 6, on Wednesday, August 17th according to some codes a few developers sent our way.” 9to5 Mac claimed in its report.
“The seeding can be delayed due to bugs or other reasons out of our control,” the site added.
Meanwhile, in a related news, the jailbreak of the beta 5 version of the iOS 5, which was released only a few days back, has been already been made available by iPhone Dev Team hackers. Apparently, the hackers issued a beta update to the Redsn0w tool - something that has emerged as one of the hot favourite tool for hackers when it comes to jailbreaking iOS devices.
