Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer High Tech Computer Corporation has announced a strategic partnership and investment with Beats Electronics LLC, to bring a Beats by Dr. Dre audio experience to HTC mobile phones.
Beats by Dr. Dre is set to deliver new mobile audio to unannounced HTC handsets by autumn this year, which One Mobile Ring believes could be both a new audio chipset and also Beats headphones to be included within the retail box.
HTC and Beats have been working together to create a better mobile audio experience for consumers, which will result in a line of HTC devices integrated with Beats sound innovations.
Beats Electronics was established in 2006, as the brainchild of legendary artist and producer Dr. Dre and Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records Jimmy Iovine, who set out to develop a new type of headphone with the capability to reproduce the full spectrum of sound that musical artists and producers hear in professional recording studios.
Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation has stated – “Beats has found a unique way to harness popular culture in a manner that is unlike any other brand today”
