Android Ice Cream Sandwich Leaked Images Reveal Enhanced GUI

Ever since Google Inc. revealed about the development of the new version of Android Operating System, codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich, the company has chosen to maintain silence on that front.

Screen shots of the upcoming update of Android OS have been leaked on tech websites Android Police and Rootz Wiki, to reveal features soon to be added to Android powered Smartphones and tablet computers.

One look at the screen shots can reveal that the new update will bring a revamped notification bar to the gadget along with a ‘blingy’ launcher and an application drawer.

Android Ice Cream Sandwich which is believed to be an enhanced version of previous updates launched by the Mountain View, California-based Google Inc. for its Android OS, Honeycomb and Gingerbread consists of a panoramic mode for the camera along with a revamped Gmail Interface.

It is believed that the changes made in Android Ice Cream Sandwich are mostly related to User Interface of the OS and Nexus Prime will be the first smartphone to receive its update.

“It's the first time anyone's publicly released any images of Ice Cream Sandwich - which Google has kept a very closely guarded secret since its existence was formally announced.” the Android Police (opens in new tab) read. The site also added that they have complete confidence in their sources.
