Nine weeks in succession and a total of 12 weeks and Zumba Fitness still aces the UK All Format Gaming Charts fending off competition from LEGO titles.
The game from 505 Games has registered sales of a total of three million copies around the world and has managed to stay on top of the UK gaming charts for more than two months. Even though the game has registered a drop of more than 7% in sales, the game is still very much in demand.
Following Zumba Fitness Pirates of the Caribbean from LEGO have managed to climb up to the second position from fifth over the last week. Third and fourth positions in the UK gaming chart were held by Cars 2 and DiRT 3 respectively.
The success of Zumba Fitness may well be attributed to no compelling release from any major games publishers in the last couple of weeks that could have given a tough time to the tile.
Nevertheless, the game does provide fitness enthusiasts with much needed training and with the Xbox Kinect sensor taking the game experience to the next level, experts believe, the title may be here to stay for at least a couple of weeks to come.
