Amazon has given a boost to its newly launched publishing business by acquiring the rights to publish the latest book by America’s best-selling self-help guru Tim Ferriss.
According to the New York Times, Amazon, the name behind leading e-book reader device the Kindle, has closed a deal with renowned self help guru for young men Tim Ferriss to publish his latest book The 4-Hour Chef.
The company has decided to release the book in print, digital and audio version as soon as April next year. Ferriss who is also one of the best selling authors in the United States has written several books to help his readers achieve success in their personal lives, in areas such as fat loss, great sex life, and escaping the humdrum of the 9 to 5 routine. His new book The 4-Hour Chef aims at transforming the way we cook and eat, with tips from world-renowned chefs as well as 'revolutionary' advice from Ferriss himself.
"It was a question of what future of publishing I want to embrace. My readers are migrating irreversibly into digital and it made perfect sense to work with Amazon to try to redefine what is possible. I could not be more excited about what we're doing," Ferriss said in a statement to explain his switch of publishers.
