Motorola Inc. on Wednesday announced that its first tablet device, Xoom will get Android 3.2 Honeycomb update in the United Kingdom next month.
The new update will bring app zoom feature to the device which will enable app that are not designed specifically for larger display screens, stretch and adjust with the size of the display. The update will enable users to stream audio and video from the microSD Card slot that was added to Xoom in the previous update.
According to The Inquirer, the Illinois-based mobile manufacturer has revealed that the tablet computer which recently received update for Android 3.1, is ready to receive the next update, Android 3.2 Honeycomb which will add new features to the device.
“There aren't a great many new features that Android 3.2 will bring to the tablet, with Google saying it ‘includes a variety of optimizations across the system to ensure a great user experience on a wider range of tablet devices’.” the website has quoted.
Xoom tablet PC is powered by Google’s Android operating system, Nvidia Tegra 2 1Ghz dual-core processor and boasts of 1GB DDR2 RAM and an in-built memory of 32 GB. The company has not revealed any particular date for the release of Honeycomb update to the device.
