Alcatel launches new budget phone with Phones 4u and Kiss FM

Established makers of low cost mobile phones Alcatel has announced it is partnering with both the high-street handset retailer Phones 4u and the radio station Kiss FM – to launch the One Touch 602 phone for just £29.99.

The Alcatel OT-602 handset was introduced at Mobile World Congress this year, in the ‘Keep in Touch’ category of mobile phones with a tag line of ‘Touch, discover, connect and share’.

The handset is said to offer up a shortcut to social networks, with widgets to update statuses, instantly share photos and with a simple touch of the phone.

Alcatel’s One Touch 602 tips up with a 2.4-inch touch screen, a 2 megapixel camera and push email functionality, with pre-loaded Facebook and Twitter apps – which keeps the phone owner up to date with the world, via 3G.

Kiss FM is one of the UK’s most popular dance, hip hop and R&B radio station – where they have teamed up with Alcatel One Touch to host an exclusive party in London, featuring old school ‘R&B’ and Garage legend Ms Dynamite, as well as a Kiss DJ.

The VIP party will be fronted by an online microsite where buyers of the OT-602 handset can apply for tickets – or win them through the UK Facebook page at

Phones 4u is retailing the OT-602 for both sexes, in Carbon and Fuschia colours and on a choice of pay as you price plans and networks.
