Millennial Media has come up with its latest monthly report, and just like the previous one, the new report has also brought along with it some really amazing news for the Windows Phone maker Microsoft Corporation.
According to the Millennial Media report, the ad impressions figure of Redmond’s Windows Phone 7 increased by some 71 percent month on month, the increase being much faster than the company’s arch rival Google’s Android, as well as than other two major players in the smartphone market RIM and Apple.
Apparently, the BlackBerry maker and the iPhone maker both failed to register any growth at all.
However, Windows Phone 7 still lags behind Android, which featured the top of the list, followed by Apple and RIM, significantly. But the kind of growth it has been showing lately has definitely brought some much needed good news for the platform’s eco-system.
“In July, Android showed strong growth and increased 15% month-over-month. Android led the Smartphone OS Impression mix on our network for the eighth consecutive month with 61% of the impressions,” the report read. The report can be accessed here [PDF].
