Microsoft to Introduce New Quad Core Tablet at Upcoming Build Conference

Windows maker Microsoft Corporation demonstrated a few of the company’s forthcoming products including a brand new quad core tablet powered by the Windows 8 platform in the recent Tech Ed event, held in New Zealand .

New reports suggest that this exciting new product could be a giveaway at the company’s upcoming Build developer conference scheduled to be held in September.

This giveaway of the yet-to-be-named device has been virtually confirmed by Alan Burchill - an IT consultant and Microsoft Most Valuable Professional.

Burchill, who attended the Tech Ed event posted a few images of the new quad core tablet device on his blog.

“What is very interesting is that device was a ‘Quad Core Windows Slate that will be give(n) out at an upcoming Microsoft Event’… Hmmm…” Buchill wrote.

However, according to the technology site ZDNet, another Tech Ed New Zealand attendee did not recall any such promises made by the software giant and Windows Phone maker.

In fact, ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley wrote in her report saying that the source “didn’t hear any promises during the session about Microsoft giving out these devices at Build. Instead, he said that he believed Microsoft is planning to unveil and showcase this slate device at the Build conference.”
