Taiwan-based smartphone maker HTC’s forthcoming HTC Sense 3.5 User Interface has reportedly been leaked onto the Internet.
As the version number indicates, the leaked version is not entirely different from the previous UI. Instead, it can be called an "improved version" of the Sense 3.0.
According to various reports, the HTC Sense 3.5 is likely to be released along with the company’s upcoming Android products, HTC Vigor and Bliss. As shown in the leaked footage, the v3.5 features a sidebar dock with a few menu and shortcut items. Also, the previous curved dock at the bottom has been removed and replaced with a Mute and a Call button.
However, according to quite a few industry experts, HTC’s decision to offer an updated UI so frequently could backfire on the company in the long term. It is important to note that it has been barely five months since the company unveiled the HTC Sense 3.0.
HTC should focus more on addressing the flaws in the previous versions of its UI, rather than coming up with new versions in every 6 months or so, especially when a huge portion of the company’s handsets are still using the 2nd generation of HTC Sense UI.
