Google ‘G-Male’ Not So Perfect After All

Comediva has a released a new comedy video which imagines a world where a perfect boyfriend has been created by Google.

The company, which fashions itself as a female content driven studio and website, released a video titled ‘G-Male’. In the video, ‘G-Male’ is the boyfriend that Google has created.

At the beginning of the video G-Male acts like the perfect boyfriend, remembering birthdays, appointments, giving important suggestions and ideas all the time. However, towards the end, things take a macabre turn when G-Male appears to be spying on his girlfriend and seems to know almost every single detail about her and her friends and family.

The video is a comic view on Google’s policy of skimming through user emails, calendars and conversation to place the most relevant ads on their Gmail page.

"We wanted to satirize the idea that Google has taken over all aspects of our lives, so why not dating?" said, "G-Male" Director and VP of Production for Comediva, Emily McGregor.

"And like any clingy boyfriend, or any technology that is always hanging around, infiltrating our space, he's really hard to break up with." she added. G-Male was written by Comediva Producer, America Young
