Nokia Polls Name of Next Windows Phone

Fancy naming a mobile phone? Well here is your chance as Nokia is currently crowdsourcing for names of its forthcoming Windows Phones in the US.

Apparently, the reports started surfacing when Chance Arrington, the chief of Nokia’s developer marketing for the North America region tweeted asking for help in naming the company’s new series of Windows Phones. That was last week! As of now, over 9000 people have already given their inputs to the Finnish mobile giant, thus helping it to come up with a name for the future devices.

The poll gave the participants 46 names to choose from, and also asked them to come up with their own name just in case they did not like any of the given names featured in the option-list.

So far, “Nokia Phoenix” has emerged as the most popular name in the poll with 14 percent of the total votes. “Deckard”, “Share” and “Fearless” on the other hand turned out to be the least popular names with less than 1 percent of the total votes.

If you want to give your own inputs to help the company come up with a pleasing name for its future device(s), visit the site here (opens in new tab). Want go get more information regarding the poll? Read more here (opens in new tab).
