Red Hat Asks for Input from User Community on New Operating System

The world’s leading open source solutions provider Red Hat Inc. has invited the Red Hat Enterprise Linux user community to participate in the development process of the forthcoming Red Hat Linux Enterprise operating system 7.

Red Hat Linux Enterprise 7 happens to be the company’s forthcoming major release in the OS market, and according to the company, it has made the Red Hat customer portal open for all Red Hat subscribers, partners and users.

This new initiative has been taken to ensure that all concerned parties are introduced to the platform so they can express their views and offer as to advice how they want the forthcoming RHLE 7 to operate.

"Since its inception, Red Hat has always operated in a truly transparent and collaborative way -- the open source way -- and this is especially apparent in the way we approach product development," said Red Hat Vice president and general manager, Platform Business Unit, Jim Totton in a statement (opens in new tab).

"We welcome all of our customers and partners to participate in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Ideas group and collaborate with other users and Red Hat engineering,” he added.
