Social media giant Facebook has finally unveiled the new and improved version of its iOS app.
While the previous version was not received well by critics and users, the new version has brought along a range of new features and enhanced functionalities. However, the company is yet to release the iPad version of the app, meaning users of the massively popular tablet device will have to wait a little longer before they can finally ditch the web version of the social network.
Major improvements in the latest version of the Facebook for iOS app, include an enhanced profile design and the ability for users to tag friends and places in their posts or in other posts.
The ability tag friends and places was not available in the earlier version which, at the time, made the app far more inferior than the website.Hopefully, this new feature will increase usability and popularity among die-hard Facebook users.
Another major enhancement carried out by Facebook to woo the users is an improved privacy setting, which allows them to customise the sharing options for individual posts according to own needs.
