Ailing smartphone maker Research in Motion has dished out the new BlackBerry App World 3.0, which is now available for download.
The new app store, which apart from the coming with a new design, also adds separate channels for apps, games and themes in order to make it easier for users to find what they are looking for much faster.
The company also said that the App World 3.0 will also feature a rotating banner of sorts which will let users see new applications that have been added to the platform. The platform also comes with a ‘My Account’ feature, which will let users manage their application downloads and even application payments.
“With BlackBerry App World 3.0 on your BlackBerry smartphone, discovering apps, themes and games is easier than ever. A sleek, new design helps you quickly find specific apps, while rotating banners call out the latest and greatest,” RIM says on the App World page.
The application store also features ‘My World’ allows users to see a list of downloaded and installed applications. Users will also be able to manage content subscriptions and other similar services. BlackBerry users will also be able share apps with their friends on social networks like the BlackBerry Messenger, Twitter, Facebook, email and SMS.
