Sony has launched the company’s first ever 4k home projector in addition to a pair of brand new AV receivers from the ES line - a popular, high-end wireless network speaker.
Sony Electronics’ executive vice president of sales, Mike Fasulo stated that the overriding theme of the new products were a perfect example of quality blended with innovation, and a dedicated commitment to dealers as well as custom installers.
The new products made available during the CEDIA Expo, will be under limited distribution - at least for now.
The VP of sales went on to say: “Only the CEDIA channel can represent products of such high quality," according to Dealer Scope.
One of the products unveiled during the Expo that managed to capture substantial amount of attention from the company’s executives was the VPL-VW1000ES 4K home theater projector. Though the company has yet to officially announce the price of the device, it is going to cost buyers somewhere around $25,000.
The product is believed to have as much as 2,000 lumerns of brightness, meaning the output will be twice as much as the company’s previous home theater projectors.
