HTC Sensation Available From £440 With Free Contract

The HTC Sensation - formerly known as the Pyramid - is rapidly sliding down the pecking order as you can now pick up the handset from the Taiwanese company with 400 minutes, 1000 texts and 1GB data on a 12 month contract for as little as £30 per month with a £80 initial fee.

The plan from Talkmobile (opens in new tab) (a Vodafone MVNO) is the Smartplan 400 and comes with a total cost of ownership of just £440 and is only £46 more expensive than the cheapest contract free Sensation on the market.

Given the fact that the phone - available from - comes with free next day delivery and is an unlocked, SIM Free model, it's probably one of the better deals out there if you're after a powerful top of the range superphone.

The handset is equipped with a 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, 768MB RAM (less than most of its competitors), 1GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, an eight megapixel rear camera capable of recording in full HD and a front facing VGA one, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, SRS virtual surround, GPS and a 1520mAh battery.

As expected, it is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the latest version of the HTC Sense user interface.
