Vodafone now selling Xperia ray

Mobile phone network Vodafone is now carrying the Sony Ericsson Xperia ray mobile phone, on contracts starting from £21.67 a month.

The Xperia ray was launched back in June this year, along with the tough Xperia active handset and Qwerty keyboard based BlackBerry-esque txt phone.

Vodafone announced in mid-August they will be retailing the Xperia ray device, from their ‘Coming Soon’ page on the main website although no prices or tariff details were made public – until now.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia ray arrives with a 3.3-inch 854x480 capacitive touch screen with a reality display and the Sony mobile Bravia engine, with a 1GHz processor, an 8.1 megapixel camera that is capable of HD 720p video recording, whilst running from Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 and the traditional SE software.

The Xperia ray has all of the same key features as the flagship Sony Ericsson arc, only that handset arrives with a larger 4.2-inch screen instead.

One Mobile Ring caught up with SE and the Xperia ray back in July, where we published a hands-on walkthrough of the mobile phone in pictures here and in video here.
