HTC has developed the first Android-powered smartphone with Beats audio technology.
The company claims the HTC Sensation XE is faster than the competition and features a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It also comes with improved battery life and 8GB and 16GB storage options
The Sensation XE will be the first in a long line of HTC smartphone devices with Beats technology.
“Beats has found a unique way to harness popular culture in a manner that is unlike any other brand today,” said CEO of HTC Corporation, Peter Chou.
“It’s an exciting brand that has been built around providing something very special, and we believe our strategic partnership will provide customers with unbeatable sound on HTC phones. We obsess over every detail of a consumer’s mobile experience and audio is a critical part of that experience,” he added.
HTC said the smartphone will come with Dr.Dre Beats in-ear headphones priced around £100.
The company has also said that when the headphones connect to the smartphone, the device switches to the Beats sound profile and renders music tailored for the headphones. The headphones also features a small remote control that lets users play, pause and skip music as well as answer and end calls.
