Samsung has launched a new Android App Store in the UK to provide users of the platform with a handful of premium and free applications.
The new store, which offers both free and premium apps from all categories, is currently allowing consumers to purchase products using credit cards only. However, Samsung promised that it would soon facilitate monthly billing, and SIM credit too.
In the game category, Samsung is offering massively popular titles such as EA's Need for Speed Shift HD, Zenonia, Gameloft's 9mm, The Sims HD, just to name a few.
“Anyone that signs up to Samsung Apps Store for Android today, will find a multitude of free and premium apps already available,” Mobile managing director of Samsung UK and Ireland, Simon Stanford explained, according to a report by the technology site KnowYourMobile.
“In the spirit of providing Android users with the best possible mobile experience, it is our intention to continue to develop this premium service to ensure our customers have access to all the latest great content on Android,” he added.
The store is accessible from PC, as well as from Samsung mobile devices, the company stated.
