Sony new venture in the tablet market - the Sony Tablet S officially went on sale today amidst huge anticipation all around the market.
Featuring a 9.4 inch display, the Sony Tablet S is the company’s first product powered by Google’s Android platform.
Apparently, Sony put in extra effort in the design aspect of the gadget. The end result is pretty satisfactory with a decent look and an easy-to-hold design (for this, Sony made one side of the device thinner than the other). Also, it is pretty light, hence making sure that gaming, reading or other activities do not tire the user’s muscles.
The product is powered by the Android Version 3.1, also known as Android HoneyComb. Honeycomb happens to be a tablet specific operating system from Sony. The platform has already drawn a lot of appreciation for its user-friendly features such as tabbed browsing and holographic interface.
To make the product even more tempting, the company has also incorporated a few old and popular PlayStation titles. However, it remains to be seen how much these old titles can actually attract the tech community.
