Carphone Warehouse and Nokia gets a new direction

Popular high-street mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse has teamed up with Nokia, by launching the Nokia C2-02 and C3-00 mobile phones exclusively with the One Direction music group’s content.

The boy band One Direction came third at last year’s X-Factor TV talent show, where the Nokia handsets will feature exclusive ringtones, wallpapers, content and stickers that were designed in association with the group.

The C3-00 has been around since mid-last year, where the C2-01 was only launched in June and as an affordable Series 40 based phone with internet, messaging and Nokia maps pre-installed.

Nokia’s C2-02 arrives in a slider candy bar format, with a 2.6-inch 240x320 resistive touchscreen, a 2 megapixel camera, with a built-in FM radio and social networking integration in the form of Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.

The C3-00 has more of a BlackBerry-esque design, with a 2.4-inch 320x240 display and a full Qwerty keyboard, with the same camera and features as the C2-02 – with access to 8GB microSD cards, with a 2GB variant included.

Carphone Warehouse is selling from today on wards the Nokia C2-02 and C3-00, starting from £10.50 a month or £69.95 on pay as you go plans.
