Google Voice Action Goes Multilingual with Support for European Languages

Search engine giant Google has dished out a European version of its Voice Actions for Android app which comes with support for 5 European languages.

The application, which will allows people to carry out various actions on their Android device using voice commands, will be able to understand British English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.

Using Google Voice Actions for Android app, users are able to perform various actions by merely speaking to the phone, live sending text messages, taking down notes, play music, access websites, make phone calls and find directions to places.

“To use Voice Actions, tap the microphone button on the Google search box on your home screen, open the Voice Search app, or press down for a few seconds on the physical search button on your phone to activate the “Speak Now” screen. The app is available for both smartphones and tablet devices running Android 2.2 or higher. Apart from all the nifty voice actions, Google said that users will also be able to perform voice searches.
