Motorola Atrix drops in price

One part of EverythingEverywhere, Orange, has announced a price drop for the Motorola Atrix mobile phone, to just £149.99.

The Motorola Mobility Atrix was announced at Las Vegas’ Consumer Electronics Show in January this year, with Orange as the exclusive carrier in the UK – although it can now be found on T-Mobile too.

The Atrix started to arrive with Everything Everywhere in April, with a 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen whilst powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and running from Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.2.

Motorola’s handset arrives with a webtop application, which contains a full version of Mozilla’s Firefox browser with Adobe Flash Player support.

This feature comes into its own when used with the Motorola Laptop Dock, where the Atrix mobile phone can be used to drive a 11.6-inch screen notebook with up to eight hours of battery life, with a full keyboard and stereo speakers.

Orange is now offering the Motorola Atirx with a price attached of £149.99, on a £10 Dolphin 15 24-month contract with 30 minutes, an unlimited text message bundle and a 250MB data allowance.

One Mobile Ring caught up with Motorola at Mobile World Congress this year, where we published a hands-on walkthrough on video here of the Atrix mobile phone and laptop dock.
