HTC Sensation XE now available to order

On-line mobile phone retailer Clove has opened up the ordering of the first HTC handset with integrated Dr Dre Beats , with a cost attached of £492.

The HTC Sensation XE only launched last week, as an updated version of their Sensation mobile phone – only with integrated Dr Dre Beats audio, plus an accompanying set of their in-ear headphones.

There’s a bespoke audio profile built-in to the new Sensation, which automatically switches over to a distinct way of playing music when using Dr Dre Beats headphones, including those provided.

HTC’s Sensation XE arrives with a 4.3-inch qHD Super-LCD capacitive touch screen, an 8 megapixel camera and an updated 1730mAh battery, with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor – where the original handset shipped with a 1.2GHz variant.

The Google Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 OS runs the device, along with the HTC Sense 3.0 overlay to the platform with the HTC Watch service that offers up movies on demand.

Clove Technology also lists the original HTC Sensation for £414, where the Dr. Dre In-Ear iBeats cost £79.99 separately and for just the £1.99 more, you get an updated CPU, better battery life and other improved musical features.
