Built-in Support of uTorrent for XBox 360, Playstation 3, iPhone and iPad Now Available

The recent alpha release of uTorrent now comes with built-in support for a wide range of gadgets including Xbox 360, PlayStation3, iPhone, iPad and all other Android powered devices.

With this new move, users now can sync their downloaded content quickly to these devices. Also, it has been revealed that additional capabilities such as conversion of video and audio files to a playable format will soon follow. That version of the BitTorrent client with built-in conversion functionalities won’t be free as the company plans to make it a paid product only.

Having captured over 100 million active users per month, uTorrent has certainly emerged as the most popular Bit torrent with a market share of about 50 percent.

“Scrapes are an important part of the BitTorrent ecosystem as they allow users to assess the state of a torrent and clients to determine which swarm to select next in their seeding queue, without having to participate in the swarm first,” explained BitTorrent, according tothis Myce report (opens in new tab).

The original uTorrent 3 was launched almost three months ago this past June.
