Asus Introduces the Eee Pad Slider through Online Shopping Sites Amazon, B&H, Newegg

The brand new product from Asus - the Asus Eee Pad Slider is now available via online shopping portals Amazon, B&H and Newegg.

Earlier, reports surfaced that the device was slated for launch in the U.S sometime at the end of the month. However, the company has announced the device was already available now in the stores mentioned above.

There are two variants of the product - one with a 16 GB internal storage, the other equipped with 32 GB internal storage.

The 16 GB variant has been priced at around $475 and the 32 GB version is available for $580 - just a little cheaper than the iPad2.

The device comes equipped with an integrated QWERTY keyboard, and is powered by the Android 3.2 operating system platform, also known as the Honeycomb. It features a multi-touch 10.1 inch screen with 1280 x 800 display screen and a 178 degree viewing angle.

Since the device not yet available in brick and mortar outlets, users won’t have the luxury of first trying it personally before making the purchase. This may cause some to wait until the device is available in stores.
