Search engine giant Google has updated its Google+ for iOS bringing the app at par with the Android version of the platform.
The app now allows iPhone 4 and iPod Touch users to start Huddle video conferences using the devices’ front facing camera. The app has also been updated with new sharing features and enhanced control over notification for users.
Google+ for iOS also features the renamed chatting tool Huddle, which is now known simply as Messenger. In the app update note, Google informs that the updated app will also allow users to share photos within the Messenger.
iOS users will also be able to +1 on comments, see map view in their profiles for places they have lived in, enhanced public search for people, share post with individual users and improved +mention support. The app also comes with various bug improvements and functionality enhancements.
The update comes as Google opened its Google+ social networking platform for the general public, attracting more than 10 million in the first two days. The platform crossed more than 25 million in just some weeks of its beta launch, were people could join the platform only via invitation.
