Google Chrome 15 Beta Announced with Revamped ‘New Tab’

Internet search behemoth and Android maker Google Inc. has announced that the Chrome Version 15 is now available in its beta-version.

According to the company, this latest offering in the Chrome family line up is coming up with several enhancements, as well as some brand new, exciting features. One such new feature is the introduction of a renovated New Tab page, Google said.

Evan Stade - a senior software engineer in the company claims that the New Tab page (opens in new tab) has been introduced with the view of simplify the visual aspect of the browser, as well as to make managing bookmarks, apps and the most visited sites a lot more easier than it used to be previously.

Google brags that with this new offering, user will be able to download and install Chrome applications and extensions available in the Chrome Web Store, directly from any verified website. In addition to that, users will be also equipped with the ability to sync the Omnibox history in the address bar.

Not just that, the JavaScript Fullscreen API has also been made a default feature in the browser in order to woo the developers community.

The new product has been unveiled by the company barely one and a half month after it released Chrome version 14.
