The London International Technology Show (LITS) has put its support behind this year's WorldSkills - the premier job skills competition, careers and jobs event on the planet.
WorldSkills takes place from 5th to 8th October at Excel - the same venue that will play host to LITS from 21st to 23rd of the month. It will be the first time the event has been hosted in London in 22 years.
WorldSkills 2011 will see 1,000 young competitors from around the globe competing to become world champions in one of 46 skills, from hairdressing and hospitality to aircraft maintenance and stonemasonry.
LITS Marketing Manager Tom Townsend-Smith said, "WorldSkills is a fantastic event and we're very proud to be working with them. The show covers so much in just four days, with a number of the skills directly relating to technology, whether its learning about network cabling or mobile robotics!"
There will be hundreds of Have a Go bite-size interactive activities available for attendeed to try their hands at, such as virtual welding with Lincoln Electric, facial beauty treatments, and the Honda and Snap-On Industrial's pit-stop challenge.
