Redmond based software powerhouse Microsoft Corp. has announced that it is going to offer all Windows Live ID members the ability to sign into Windows 8 using their logins.
According to the company, with this new offering, users with Live IDs will be able to configure and use any Windows 8 powered machine in an environment, unique to them- which means that users will retain their preferred configuration even if they change their PCs.
The company also stated that logging into Windows 8 with Live ID will be optional, and works equally for apps, Devices as well as services.
Any user, who is new to Windows 8, will be asked if they want to associate their Live ID account with their PCS, or they would prefer to make a new one.
"We know that shared PC usage is common and we've heard from many of you that switching between multiple accounts can be cumbersome," wrote Microsoft's Katie Frigon in a blog post.
"In Windows 8, we have set out to ensure that each PC user has a truly personal experience that seamlessly bridges their online and offline tasks, is simpler to set up and use, and persists across their set of Windows 8 PCs," she added.
