A new revelation made by a Experian Hitwise suggests that more and more visitors are joining Google’s latest venture in the social networking world – Google+.
Google opened its brand new social media platform for public just a few days back, after carrying out a beta testing for about three months. And, according to the report published by Hitwise, the site, despite being still in its infant days, is closing in on MySpace and LinkedIn in terms of Web traffic.
According to industry analysts, this new report will definitely boost the morale of the entire Google team significantly, as some reports previously claimed that the huge anticipation amongst social media enthusiasts for Google+ was finally slowing down.
"Google+ emerged as the third largest site in the Social Network and Forums category last Wednesday [in the US], a day after the site went from 'invitation-only' to 'open access' available to everyone," said Heather Dougherty, director of research at Hitwise in the US.
The Hitwise report also claimed that the increase in number of visitors of Google Plus was somewhere around 1269 percent since the platform was made open for public.
