The recently held Facebook f8 conference, hosted by San Francisco witnessed the online music streaming pioneer Spotify joining forces with the social media giant with the vision of making available its services for Facebook users.
And now, new reports are suggesting that the new business strategy adopted by the company has paid off even sooner than probably most of us had anticipated. According to a new revelation, post-f8, Spotify is bagging 250,000 new users with every passing day.
The report first surfaced in the tech site Inside Facebook (opens in new tab), where it was claimed that the new collaboration kick started by Facebook and Spotify has eventually beefed up the fan base of the latter significantly.
Another report by AppData (opens in new tab), backed the Inside Facebook revelation by stating that the number of monthly active Spotify users increased from around one million to an all-time high of 4.4 million.
On being approached for comments, a Spotify representative reportedly declined to provide any info in this regards. The company officially claims that it has two million paid users, whereas the number of total users could go as high as 10 million.
