South Korea based Galaxy maker Samsung, and search giant Google are joining forces for the forthcoming Samsung Mobile unpacked 2011 “Google Episode” event, scheduled to be held on October 11, and if we are to believe the word on the streets, the same event could witness some new announcement regarding the massively anticipated Nexus Prime.
The event has been scheduled just a week after the upcoming iPhone event organised by Apple on the 4th of October.
Neither Google, nor Samsung is revealing too much at the moment regarding the announcement to be made in the event. However, quite a few sources in the industry are claiming that the Droid Prime, or the Nexus Prime, or possibly both the devices could be unveiled during the mysterious event.
Also, there is a pretty good probability that the upcoming version of the Android operating system, also known as the Ice Cream Sandwich, will also be discussed at the event.
“The Nexus Prime or Droid Prime needs to be good to compete against the likes of the Apple iPhone 5. Just to remind you all, the Nexus Prime has had its Bluetooth certification, and we all know this is one of the last steps before the smartphone is released,” notes this PhonesReview (opens in new tab) report.
