Tech Firms Find Themselves in UK’s Coolest Brands List

Tech firms have managed to bag five spots in the newly released list of coolest brands in the United Kingdom.

According to the list of the coolest brands in the UK compiled by CoolBrands, iPad maker Apple came in the second spot.

Audio technology maker Bang and Olufsen got the fifth spot, followed by smartphone BlackBerry, which is made by Research in Motion, in the sixth place. BlackBerry is followed by search engine giant Google, which is on the seventh position while Google owned video sharing platform YouTube got the tenth spot.

Meanwhile, the first position went to iconic car marker Aston Martin, which acquired fame when it started appearing in James Bond movies.

Bike maker Harley Davidson came in third in the coolest brands list followed by Rolex on the fourth position. Sports car maker Ferrari was placed on the eight spot trailed by Nike in the ninth position.

CoolBrands came up with the list after a massive survey comprising of consumer, industry experts and marketing executives.

“Cool is subjective and personal. But being identified as a Cool Brand by the British public and a panel of influential opinion formers implies it is a brand that most Brits wish to own,” said Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of the CoolBrands Expert Council.

"Votes are based on a wide criteria of factors but these brands are clearly delivering cool in the eyes of consumers and influencers alike,” he added.
