Microsoft, Google and IBM Considered Top Places to Work in Recent Study

Microsoft Corporation is world’s one of the most attractive employers, according to a new report which ranked the Windows maker as a much sought after destination for job seekers.

The study, carried out by branding consultant Universum Global, found that Microsoft outran almost all its competitors on several fronts, and established itself as the most employee friendly brand.

The company was ranked 3rd on the list of the 50 most popular companies for people looking for engineering careers. Microsoft was outdone only by Google and supercomputer maker IBM who secured the first and second positions respectively.

Amongst the top 10 brands in the list were BMW, Intel, Sony, Apple, General Electric, Seimens and Proctor & Gamble.

“The software industry is highly dependent on its human capital, hence the efforts to attract and retain the brightest minds in the world. There’s a new working-culture paradigm today – the relaxed & creative office - and part of it we owe to this industry,” saysCarlo Duraturo, Global Account Director at Universum.

It happens to be third consecutive year that Google topped the charts featuring the most popular, employee-friendly companies.
