Carphone Warehouse announce combined contract for tablets and mobile phones

Popular high street mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse has unveiled new tethering price plans for mobile phones, which include a free tablet.

Carphone Warehouse has brought out these combination deals on a wide range of tablets and smartphones, which include tethering between these devices for Internet access.

This comes off the back of a YouGov survey that 48-percent of the British public are planning on buying a tablet for Christmas this year, where only one in ten WIFI-only tablet owners currently tether to their smartphone for use whilst out and about.

Many consumers appear to be unfamiliar with the process of connecting a smartphone to a tablet device, although one in four or 23-percent do intent to get a tablet plan for their smartphone for this exact use.

The survey also suggests that Android tablet owners are twice as likely to tether their smartphones, than iPad owners.

Carphone Warehouse is now offering a Samsung Galaxy Tab with a Samsung Galaxy Apollo, on a combined £31 a month contract; a BlackBerry Playbook with a BlackBerry Curve 9300, on a £36 a month tariff; a HTC Wildfire S and an Archos 101, on a £31 a month price plan.
