Vodafone offers three months of unlimited data with a new mobile phone

Mobile phone network Vodafone has launched a new scheme for brand new handsets, which allows for three months of unlimited mobile broadband data use.

Vodafone has only just announced this deal under the name of ‘Vodafone Data Test Drive’ to new and upgrading customers this weekend, in order to determine what level of data allowance they might actually need.

Vodafone’s ‘Data Test Drive’ is geared up to allow customers to get to grips with a new phone’s features and explore all the apps that are available for it.

The plan is available to Vodafone pay monthly users, who can choose any of Vodafone’s current range of more than 20 smartphones.

The first new mobile phone to carry the Data Test Drive is the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S, which has only just arrived on the network.

At the end of the three month period Vodafone informers the mobile phone owner of exactly how much data they’ve used and whether the plan they have in place suits their needs - with a view to extend the data allowance, if needed.

Data Test Drive will be available on all future smartphones, where the offer can also be taken up by enterprise customers on consumer price plans.
