Adobe Introduces Flash Player 11 and Air 3.0; Downloadable from Adobe's Website

The introduction of Apple gadgets and Apple iOS promoted many to adopt HTML 5 and highlighted that Adobe Flash should be replaced due to slow speeds and lack of features. In short, the Adobe Flash was not considered compatible with other advanced gadgets at the time.

This was the scenario when Apple was new to the market, however. Now, after Adobe has implemented of a number of changes has introduced a faster and much improved Flash Player with various features.

The Flash Player 11 and AIR 3.0 which can be downloaded from CNET (opens in new tab) or from Adobe’s website.

The latest version has highly accelerated graphics support for the Adobe platform. Adobe claims the new Flash Player has Stage3D technology that provides combined acceleration to the 2D and 3D, which is up to 1,000 times faster than the previous version of these two iterations.

Currently, Stage3D technology is supported by only personal computers but soon this technology will be made available for mobile devices with future Flash players.

With the Stage3D technology it can be easily expected that the Flash Player will have a lot of complex graphics developments. This will also allow other developers to use the Flash Player as a alternative for their own projects.
