We've received an email from Carphone Warehouse's affiliate Mobiles.co.uk confirming that they will be getting the iPhone 4S in both colours and in all three storage capacities (that's six SKUs), and will be pre-ordering slightly later on the 11th of October with stock available (and arriving) from the 14th of October.
The 8GB iPhone 4 will arrive within the same time frame; no details yet though as to how big the price drop on the iPhone 4 8GB and the iPhone 3GS will be.
Preorders for the iPhone 4S are expected to start on the 7th of October, although all major mobile phone operators in the country (and the big retailers) have already started to take pre-registrations.
The phone was released on the 4th of October and is an evolution rather than a radical improvement on the iPhone 4. The biggest differences are the change of SoC, from the A4 to the A5, the improvement in the camera, becoming a true so-called world phone and Bluetooth 4.0.
In the US, the price of the iPhone 4 has gone down to $99 for the 8GB model, while the 16GB iPhone 4S will cost $199, $299 for the 32GB one and $399 for the 64GB model.
You can win an iPhone 4S by entering our competition - which ends on the 21st of October - here.
