Late News: Honeycomb Optimised Google Docs, Microsoft Xbox Live TV Announced, Mac OS X Lion Update

Google has finally dished out the tablet optimised version of Google Docs for Android tablets running Honeycomb. The new Google Docs, which covers the full screen of the tablet device, comes in a highly segmented and intuitive design.

Windows maker Microsoft has unveiled the highly awaited Xbox Live cable TV service, which is scheduled to be launched this holiday season. Microsoft announced that it has struck deals with cable programming providers all over the world, to offer cable programs on Xbox 360 gaming console’s Xbox Live online entertainment platform.

Phone maker Apple may be preparing an update to Mac OS X Lion in order to bring the free iCloud service to the platform. Mac OS X Lion, which has sold 6 million copies since its launch, will be updated to version 10.7.2 as soon as next week, around the same time as Apple will launch the iCloud.

Popular Linux projects the Attachmate/ SUSE-backed OpenSUSE and Red Hat-backed Fedora recently have been released in beta versions that surprisingly also include the GNOME 3.2 desktop environment.

Microsoft has claimed that its decision to replace the traditional Start menu with a touch oriented one in Windows 8 is to bring the touch revolution to personal computers.
