Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer High Tech Computer Corporation has announced the HTC Sensation XL with Dr Dre Beats audio integrated technology, with a larger screen and better headset than the Sensation XE.
The HTC Sensation XL now joins the handset maker’s HTC Sensation XE, which also has Dr Dre Beats audio built-in and has just gone on sale this week – only with a lesser set of specifications, in some places.
The Sensation XE is an update to the company’s HTC Sensation phone from earlier on in the year, where the HTC Sensation XL has a similar design and screen size to their Windows Phone 7 device, with the HTC HD 7.
HTC Sensation XL arrives with a 4.7-inch WVGA LCD touch screen with Gorilla glass, running from a single core 1.5 GHz processor, with an 8 megapixel camera capable of 720p video recording, 16GB of non-expandable memory, with Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 and the new HTC Sense 3.5 UI.
The HTC Sensation XL will ship with Beats audio integration that has been optimised for the Dr Dre urBeats headset that accompanies the phone, bettering the in-ear offers of the HTC Sensation XE with an over the ear headset in certain markets.
HTC hasn’t announced any details of networks carrying the HTC Sensation XL or any prices for the phone, only that the mobile will be available across EMEA from early November.
One Mobile Ring attended the launch event for the device where we will bring you a hands-on walkthrough in pictures and on video later on today.
