Three to sell Dr Dre Beats HTC Sensation XL mobile phone

Mobile phone network Three has announced it will soon be carrying the new HTC Sensation XL handset, featuring Dr Dre Beats audio technology and in-ear headphones.

The HTC Sensation XL was launched last week, as the second phone to derive from the partnership with the Dr Dre Beats company and HTC – with the Sensation XE being the first mobile, which has only just arrived on networks and with retailers.

The HTC Sensation XL will ship in November with a 9.9mm thin body, a 4.7-inch WVGA Super LCD capacitive screen, with a single core 1.5GHz processor, 16GB of non-expandable internal storage, an 8 megapixel camera and the Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 OS with the new HTC Sense 3.5 UI.

Accompanying the mobile is a set of urBeats Dr Dre in-ear headphones, which upon being connected to the Sensation switches over to a special audio profile for better sound quality.

Three hasn't announced any prices or tariff details to the HTC Sensation XL, although the network is retailing the original Sensation handset on £30 a month tariffs which One Mobile Ring believes could be matched on the Sensational XL.

One Mobile Ring attended the launch event for the HTC Sensation XL, where we published a hands-on walkthrough in pictures here and on video here.
